I suppose the whole thing did crackle a bit under heavier equipment (a very large TV, let's day) but still feels robust enough, and you won't lose sleep over it. The positives: this stand is easily put together and has a smart design. Once assembled it looks much better than its price would suggest - it looks simple and classy, with a decent enough finish and an attractive design.
