Review: UGears T-Rex. Good fun to assemble, but it won't walk. - The clockspring mechanism is very difficult to install. Once fully assembled it would not walk. All parts did seem to move/rotate freely so I suspect that there is an intermittent jam somewhere. So full dis-assembly will be required to find the fault. Another great model from Ugears. This one will test your skills. Use plenty of glass paper and candle wax to make gears and legs work smoothly

The clockspring mechanism is very difficult to install. Once fully assembled it would not walk. All parts did seem to move/rotate freely so I suspect that there is an intermittent jam somewhere. So full dis-assembly will be required to find the fault. Edit: Oct 2024 - UGears have now offered me a full refund, which I've accepted. I think I will still consider buying other UGears products in the future ...they are actually very well made. Just, in this case, for whatever reason, the walking mechanism didn't function.
