Although it worked fine over those years the noise from the motor was huge. A H&S audit would definitely recommend wearing hearing protection while showering it was that bad. I decided to stick with the same brand mainly because of their quality (noisy motor aside), appearance, and same location of water and electrical connections. The new unit was fitted in about 20 minutes. The difference in motor noise is night and day. Yes you can still hear it obviously but it is very subdued. A much simpler operation on the new one also. Rotate the inner ring to switch on and vary the water pressure. The outer ring allows adjustment of the temperature. Surely ishould not be so difficult?** A: The pipes need extending to seal the connection. If there's no movement forwards of the pipes then they will need cutting back into the wall and longer pipes connected and cut to the correct length to fit into shower connections.
