The surface has a gloss finish with fine mottling. Color transitions appear more concentrated in recessed areas, emphasizing form and creating a layered, atmospheric effect. - CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch. - GLOSSY, SEMI-TRANSLUCENT FINISH - Fires to a glossy shine that lets some of the clay body show through, so color deepens where the glaze pools over edges, carving and texture. - READY TO BRUSH & LAYER - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Layer it over or under other glazes for new effects; test first, since thickness and firing change the result. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0BZ8W41S2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #14,040 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing (See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing) #14 in Ceramics Glazes | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (399) 4.1 out of 5 stars | | Date First Available | April 1, 2023 | | Item Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-SPEC-PARENT | | Item Weight | 1.63 pounds | | Manufacturer | Penguin Pottery LLC | | Product Dimensions | 3.25 x 3.25 x 3.5 inches | ## Images ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81a0JrRMhFL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61vYvRMW0KL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71sceDfQslL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71zrod3-OoL.jpg) ![Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - 16 oz | 473 ml - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61NoUETbhrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Penguin Pottery - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 6 for Mid Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Penguin Pottery - Celadon Series - Candy Apple Red - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Speedball Mid-Fire Glaze, Teal Agate, 16 Ounce Jar for Pottery and Ceramics --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/533820261-penguin-pottery-ceramic-glaze-mid-fire-cone-5-and-6](https://www.desertcart.us/products/533820261-penguin-pottery-ceramic-glaze-mid-fire-cone-5-and-6) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
