A perennial best-seller, the 3/8-inch (10mm) thickness of Forest Floor Printed Wood Grain Interlocking Foam Mats is a popular choice for low- to moderate-traffic areas and low-impact personal fitness activities. Whether you're looking for a cost-effective general padding solution in your home or office, or you're setting up a space designed for childcare, play, or fitness, Forest Floor is the perfect solution for you. The slimmer thickness of the 3/8" series makes it an economical choice for a sophisticated home gym space, ideal for yoga, pilates, and bodyweight exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, burpees, planks, squats, and lunges. Not recommended for high-intensity, high-impact, or weight-bearing exercises. Designed for assembly on a hard, flat indoor surface, the Forest Floor mats will provide a durable and comfortable padded surface to reduce impact and joint strain, and the handsome wood grain patterns will enhance the appearance of any space. Interlocking tiles should not be installed over carpet, and you may wish to use double-sided flooring tape for any semi-permanent installation. EVA foam is a soft product and will indent under furniture or heavy objects. It is subject to puncture and can be damaged by pets. Each Forest Floor tile measures 24" x 24" (4 square feet per tile) and comes with two detachable border pieces included, allowing you to finish most regular installation shapes with a straight edge. EVA foam is easily trimmed with a sharp knife or scissors, so you can measure your space and cut tiles to fit for a snug wall-to-wall installation. Please note that the wood grain pattern is a printed surface, and as such is subject to fading over time. Extended exposure to direct sunlight may cause the printed surface to fade more rapidly. I was very excited to receive the "Bamboo" puzzle mats to do my yoga and Nia dance practice on from We Sell Mats. I've used a similar mat at my dance studio for years - the floor there is similar cushioned puzzle pieces, non impact, not slippery, and highly durable. However, these mats are extremely slippery and even my cat running over them, with closely clipped claws, leaves deep tears all over the surface. I definitely would not recommend.

I was a little worried by some of the reviews, but I'm thrilled that I went ahead with the purchase. This flooring is beautiful, goes together smooth and easy, fits together tightly so it lays smooth, and it's got plenty of cushion for those long standing spells at Vendor shows. That being said, because of that soft, cushiony feel... large objects do leave some indentions in it, but that is to be expected. It's thick enough for comfort, but not so thick that you worry about tripping over the edges. I will be buying more of this flooring so that I can rent a bigger space at the next Vendor show.
