Make sure you have enough rubber o-rings to get a good seal when fitting. It's not designed to look pretty and it doesn't but it does work very well. Why did I need it: The shower runs off of an on-demand boiler and the shower mixer was badly chosen, providing a single axis control ranging from max hot to max cold. As it's on demand heating, the faster the water flow the cooler the hot water and there is a minimum flow required before the water is heated at all. So a single axis control is dreadful, providing a temperature range of barely warm to ice cold. By using this valve to reduce the flow rate, I get hotter water. A cheap solution until a bathroom refit fixes it properly.
