Knock off version was less polished, but functional.If the difference was $20 I’d go with these - they do work and did not give me any trouble. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Holds an incredible amount of weight *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2023* I'd normally think of an extension like this for small effect cymbals, splashes and the like--but I had used two broken cymbals in a stack in the past, so I decided to really test this thing. I put a 20" B8 ride and a 17" crash on it, an absurd amount of cymbal weight to lay upon such a thing, and yet, this boom arm held firm. I even added a cracked splash on top of that stack, and an extension riser on top of the screw to put a 12" china on top of it all--and this thing still held up. I first had it mounted to a regular cymbal stand, and while the boom arm was stable, the center of gravity was a bit off, and I worried that continuing to play it would tip the stand. I then mounted this off the side of my hi-hat stand, which felt unusual, but the pedal assembly (plus the fact that my foot was on it most of the time) helped counterbalance all the weight I had added to this boom arm. And it's been holding up fine.
