My husband is. I wanted to do a photoshoot with our daughter and him and so this was perfect for what I was going for. I'm not really sure what people look for in a race suit, but it was thick and it appeared to be good quality. The stitching was good. It was flattering for him to wear. As far as functionality goes...I don't know enough about racing to know if this is a good suit or not.
