I would recommend it to a friend for non-professional use and for keeping a personal record of moisture for his boat. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Is it really worth it? *by M***S on 1 November 2018* If you're surveying a boat, then yes it is a must have - quite literally no other GRP moisture meter will cut it. I give it 3 stars because of two primary reasons - firstly, it is not 1980 anymore and the display simply needs to be updated to a digital readout. It is a dog to gain an accurate reading in a poorly lit bilge while you are checking out the stringers.... In an ideal world, it would be USB connected to a phone app to record the data (yes, I will take royalties for that if you do it ;-) ) Second - the device requires "interpretation" and that is never a good thing - or should I say, an "accurate" thing. It should be far easier to calibrate the meter on say a few given spots on a vessel to normalise the meter against the grp, and then take relative readings from there. I would strongly advice anyone using this meter to watch a youtube video or two, showing how to correctly use and interpret the readings.
