I installed on concrete steps. Some extra screw and bolt parts are included. Very considerate and helpful. I needed to use one of the spares due to a defect on another. The eight provided anchors for concrete are very solid when installed. Be extremely careful in your measurements when drilling the holes. There is very little room for error. Also, the provided drill bit was a nice thought, but it was not very high quality. It was taking me forever to drill through concrete so I bought a new drill bit at our local lumber yard and had the holes drilled in a few minutes. If you are planning to install on a wooden deck or porch, the enclosed screws are simply inappropriate for the job. Too short and too small to provide adequate strength to hold the railing with any certainty. Image attached. Still, overall a great value and I ordered another one.
