I like the look of the unstained version more but read reviews of others expirencing problems with the wood when playing on slighty wet grass as it is unsealed. I considered buying my own sealant and staining the color I wanted but decided to just spend the extra dollar or so and get the already stained set. Its a little darker then I would prefer but at least the wood is protected. If you have time and stain on hand, it would be cool to get the untreated set and stain a transparent color of your choice and make it unique. Looking forward to playing in the yard this summer with my son.
