Review: Good welder. - Im in my 70's and used to do quite a lot of wrought iron work such as gates and fire escapes. That was many years ago and it must have been just over 40 years since I picked up a welding rods. I bought this as its a good price for my requirements now. I wanted to manufacture some good strong ramps for my own vehicles, one of which is rather heavy. After hours of welding with this my arm and wrist was not aching one bit after holding it. Another good thing it has its own little cooling fan built in. This is a great piece of kit 👌.
Review: It’s not bad. - It’s a good tool to have. Just watch for a couple of issues I’ve come across. 240v lead is quite short! Will probably need an extension lead. The open electrode clamps that hold the rods don’t open very wide. Unless my unit is faulty? It won’t take a 3.5mm rod. The glasses work well but the strap and nose protector is useless! Wire brush and slag hammer also useless! On the whole though, it welds just fine with good penetration even at half the amount of amps available.

Im in my 70's and used to do quite a lot of wrought iron work such as gates and fire escapes. That was many years ago and it must have been just over 40 years since I picked up a welding rods. I bought this as its a good price for my requirements now. I wanted to manufacture some good strong ramps for my own vehicles, one of which is rather heavy. After hours of welding with this my arm and wrist was not aching one bit after holding it. Another good thing it has its own little cooling fan built in. This is a great piece of kit 👌.

It’s a good tool to have. Just watch for a couple of issues I’ve come across. 240v lead is quite short! Will probably need an extension lead.
