**Q: Will this work on short hair dogs?**
A: It's perfert for use on long and medium haired dogs and cats. For short haired dogs, as we've tested, it works for German Shepherd, Poodle, Saint Bernard, Shiba Inu, Aussiedoodle, Chihuahua and Newfoundland.

**Q: Does it rip the hair?**
A: No, I use it on my 17 y/o cat and it removes the excess hair quite gently, and effectively I might add.

**Q: How do you clean the brush when its full of hair ?**
A: Just pull the hair out by hand. It's a small brush, I wish it was a little bigger.
I have two long hair German Shepards, the brush grabs the hair and almost feels like your pulling the hair and hurting the dogs. I stopped using it so it will not hurt them. Maybe on a dog that does not have such thick hair, it will probably work better.

It’s a very good grooming brush for a long haired dog, it removes a lot of undercoat winter fur. I tried different brushes for my Akita girl, and this one works the best. Just go easy on so it won’t hurt your dog’s skin. And it’s better to brush your dog outside!
