If, like me, you are used to the filter part remaining attached to the upper part, you are going get a surprise. The filter component sits loose on the jug, resulting in a rather “rattling” affair as you extricate the jug from the rest of the machine. Simply put, the coffee filter holder comes out with the jug. Included is a separate “plug” to keep the heat in once the filter part has been removed, almost as an apology. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll work with what they give me, but for the sake of an extra £10, they could have come up with a perfect machine to match the perfect cup of coffee.
