I'm so impressed I may purchase a second set or even purchase as a gift. I've been a huge Maglite fan for 25 years as a leading name in the industry and their excellent quality torches. In recent years I gave up smoking for Ecigs and vaping. As such, I have a multitude of high power devices that use 18650 batteries that has made me acutely aware of just how well modern rechargeable Li-Ion 18650's can perform. A single 3400 mAh cell lasts for many hours of continuous use in the small hand torch where my large and heavy Maglite would lose its peak performance and burn through expensive D cells very rapidly.The little pocket torch with the single AA is pretty handy and thanks to the shaped lens punches well above its size. It's well built and looks modern and stylish. It is incredibly small, lightweight, extremely bright with a great field of view and remarkable range. Performance and battery life are excellent. The zoom slider is a little loose but its not a major issue. It has a very strong clip for a firm grip on a belt without it falling off. It has 3 modes, standard or lower brightness and a strobe. The button is very firm and fully waterproofed.The larger but still relatively small single 18650 cell hand torch has all of the great features of the pocket torch and more. It literally has the range of my very large triple D cell (LR20) Maglite (original bulb, not LED converted ). It can't quite match the same field of view when zoomed out, but the cleaner whiter light makes up for that. It too is very well built from the same lightweight materials as the pocket torch and is equally as solid and practical. It also looks very modern and stylish. Incredible performance and battery life and these torches really have surprised me for their cost. The hand torch has a couple of extra modes to the pocket torch as well, such as SOS. Feels good in the hand and it's also fully waterproofed with good grips if wet. Spare cells are small and convenient to carry. Cells can't be recharged in the torch and a cheap unbranded single bay 18650 charger is supplied, (personally I use a decent branded Xtar single bay charger I know I can trust with included safety cut outs, etc and I don't really trust the supplied charger. Would advise purchasing your own quality charger). Given the known performance, the "Maglite" name and especially the cost of one, and then this small cheap single 18650 torch going pretty much toe to toe in the field. Outstanding!! A great little pair of torches. Various modern functions such as the strobe and SOS work perfectly well.Would highly recommend and am happy to rate at 4 stars especially for the cost (based on the zoom sliders being a little loose on both torches).***STORE AND CARRY 18650'S PROPERLY AND SAFELY***. ALWAYS carry in a proper battery box or silicon sleeve. ALWAYS check the plastic battery wraps on your cells before inserting into your torch, even slight damage can cause a battery to vent!! A battery venting inside a metal tube is akin to a pipe bomb!! ALWAYS observe proper battery safety with 18650/26650 Li-Ion cells and these torches will serve you very well indeed :o). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended *by A***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2017* A great torch set, both study and metal construction.I gave my mum the small torch to keep in her handbag if she ever needs it, and I use the big one myself.I love the different settings that each torch has, such as different brightnesses, strobes and SOS, and the lense adjustment on the large torch is great for focusing the light or spreading it out over a greater area. Very handy for when you need to see but dont want to blind people as you walk past.
