It sounds like you purchased my Qc3 ear pads with grey L&R. Those do not attach the same way as they use a plastic frame instead of skirting. My headphones are an older model OE than any of those shown in the product info but I judged that the pads would probably still fit and took a chance. Prompt delivery etc so no problems there.I watched the installation video as per advice of the manufacturers (handy link provided in the package) and was aware of the poor reviews that the product had received based on the difficult some users had with installation.The video is great, well made, easy to understand and, as it turned out, about as much use to me as a chocolate fireguard. My headphones don't have the handy little slot shown in the video that allows one to just slide the new pads on. That didn't stop me trying for a very frustrating 2 hours though. :)In short, the product is good, well made and possibly perfect if your headphones are the newer Bose OE type. If not, then good luck because you're on your own.I managed to get the new pads on but it involved the removal of parts of the headphone which were held on with very delicate plastic clips which I doubt were ever designed to be removed. That said, if you are careful and methodical, it's actually very straightforward and definitely easier than the method shown in the video.Remove cover plate carefully, slot inside new ear pads, clip cover plate and attached ear pad back on to the unit.Looks factory and works perfectly.All in all, I hope I never need new ear pads again but if I do, I''l be buying another set of these.
