One must point the remote directly at the roku device and be careful not to have shaky hands because that will cause button pushing not to register. Because of this purchase, I’m no longer allowed to buy any electronic devices for my home without my husband’s approval. I would recommend this remote to someone I didn’t like very much or to someone who would like their kids to do less screentime. My children have totally given up trying to get it to work and as a result, I get to use the big tv pore frequently.
