Unless you have a very new pool or you have replaced the eyeballs recently, don’t waste your money on a plastic tool. My pool is not new and the plastic tool that I tried first before buying this item shattered immediately. These are heavy-gauge stainless steel, and I was able to remove the eyeball fitting easily, using a screwdriver inserted through the hole in the end of the tool for leverage. A pack of 4 is overkill, but the price difference between the two and four-packs was so small that I opted for the four-pack, thinking they might be more fragile (bendable) than they looked. I was able to remove the cap and the eyeballs, but the inner piece was immovable. With this product, I was able to remove SIX of them in under 5 minutes. This product worked perfectly. I recommend using slip joint pliers with this product to give you leverage to loosen the inner piece of the jets -- just dry the pliers off IMMEDIATELY once you are finished.
