I find it easiest to remove the firearm first, then loosen my belt, using 2 fingers, 1 on each clip, lift clips away from belt,move holster upward and off. It may be difficult to remove. But it is definitely secure when being worn properly. **Q: I don't wear a belt. Will the clips hold if just clipping over pants waist band?** A: The metal clips are super strong and will definitely hold. Of course, depending the type of pants and weight of the gun if the pants will stay up - but the clips will absolutely hold. **Q: Will the canik tp9 elite sc holster fit the canik mete mc9?** A: No the Mete MC9 will be a separate holster **Q: Will it fit a 5 inch with an optic** A: This one specifically is for the shield plus 3.1 inc barrel, the holster does have a hole in the other end so if the tip of the 5” tapers off at the end it may fit but I wouldn’t risk it. It will fit the optic that’s for sure. If you're looking for a holster for this gun, look no further. This is a very sturdy holster and it is very comfortable for all day use and everyday carry. Does sweat a little, so wear an under shirt. Has a really satisfying secure click to lock the gun in, and the metal clips lock on to any pant or belt material. Retention is *very* secure and tight, and requires real intention to draw. Bottom line is no one is getting your gun off of you without you wanting it off. Long cross-country car trip ahead, didn't want to go unstrapped. Local shops had nada in stock for my pistol. Desperately searched Amazon for IWB holster that was sized for my Canik MC9 with optic (few options in Fall, '24). CYA had the best looking offering, so I took the chance. So glad I did! After adjusting the tension, holster fit my gun like a glove! Double clips hold holster securely to belt, no shifting. Clears optic with no problem.Gun is easy to reholster. Holster works great for 3:30 carry position, comfortable and secure! The wing attachment effectively prevents printing. My original holster now resides in my holster box of shame with my old 90's era fanny pack and thunderwear holster! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, Reasonably Priced, Durable *by C***A on October 20, 2023* Wanted something of a middle ground between the cheap Chinese knock-off holsters and the expensive (overpriced IMO) boutique Kydex holsters you find on Amazon, and this one nailed it. Retention was very stiff - too stiff at out of the box, but easily adjustable with a little loctite and a screwdriver. CYA seems to sell these in 3 levels - a very basic one with nonadjustable cant and plastic belt clip for $30-odd, a middle one with adjustable cant, a metal clip and a claw for $60-ish, and a high-end one with all of the above plus adjustable ride height. I went for the middle ground and was very pleased, it fit my M&P 2.0 (I bought the 4.2" 9mm fullsize, but mine is actually 4" 10mm) like a glove. Doesn't print, top-mounted optic and suppressor-height sights slip in and out without interference, is locked in tight at the front of the trigger guard once it's home. Was exactly what I was looking for at a good price point.
