The 1st time i tried it, i was not impressed. It was too dry and hard to spread. Still I start what I finish and I patched a decent size drywall hole. I went back the next day and checked on it. What i found was amazing, the whole was totally patched, the spackle didnt shrink and it was so smooth, I couldnt hope to have replicated it with joint compound. The next time I used it, I added some water to a spoonfull of spackle and mixed it. It basically turned into soup. I added more spackle, and more and more until finally i had the entire container mixed with the water......... and it was still too runny. I left it to airdry an hour and it became usable again. The point of that story is if you add water its much easier to work with. But add it a couple drops at a time.
