At 44lbs, the large can’t keep my dog afloat, but she’s between a medium and large.** A: Our dog is a 42lb terrier and the large fits great and keeps her well above the water. I used the measurements on the chart and, like you, came up pretty much in between M & L. I went with large and glad I did. **Q: Will this fit 12lb doxie?** A: Don’t waste your money on this dog life jacket. The front legs of the dog can get underneath the front and drown the dog. **Q: My puppy is 12 weeks old and this size chart confuses. Her sizes are chest 19, neck 12 and length 14. Anyone know what size I should get?** A: S is recommended. Dog life jacket is HALF-LENGTH clothing and chest girth is the decisive measurement. **Q: Is the padding in the belly bands buoyant as well? Is it the same foam that is used on the back and neck?** A: Yes, the material of the foam is the same, the thickness is different. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dogcheer Dog Life Jacket, Cute Shark Dog Life Vest for Swimming Boating with Superior Buoyancy and Rescue Handle, Adjustable Puppy Floating Swim Vest for Small Medium Large Dogs(Pool Blue,XS) - Lesypet Dog Sunglasses Small Breed, Dog Goggles for Small Dogs Windproof Anti-UV Glasses for Dogs Outdoor Eye Protection, Blue --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/525224987-dogcheer-dog-life-jacket-cute-shark-dog-life-vest-swimming](https://www.desertcart.us/products/525224987-dogcheer-dog-life-jacket-cute-shark-dog-life-vest-swimming) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
