## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do these smoke at a low temp? Like 170?**
A: 170 is hot for me.  I smoke with a Traeger on smoke.  Cool weather is best.  Temp 120-140

**Q: Are these 100% Applewood pellets, or are they a combination of Applewood with other woods such as Oak or Alder?**
A: Camp Chef blends with Alder, BBQers Delight and Lumberjack blend with Oak.  Unless a bag of pellets says 100% Apple it is NOT 100% Apple.  100% hardwood does not mean 100% Apple.  LumberJack sells both an Apple Blend and 100% Apple.  The reason for the blend is consistency of energy content.  Apple and some other woods don't burn as hot and so they are blended with some other wood to increase the energy content.

**Q: If I left the bag outside for a night, is it possible the moisture is causing them to not burn as well?**
A: If the bag was open and exposed to high humidity or moisture, it will definitely affect the burn rate.

**Q: Do these pellets break down into saw dust when wet?**
A: I can’t speak specifically for this bag but all my pellets that I’ve ever had yes they break down when they get wet

I have to say I am very pleased with the quality of these pellets. They burn well and seem to stay solid. I store them in a plastic container until I need them and they stay in one solid piece and don't crumble. The ones that are left in the feed bin for a period of time are the same way and they may be in there for a couple of months or more. I used them to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving this year and they worked perfect. The skoe infused the bird very well and had a great taste. I had to order another bag because I almost ran out.Pros:Good priceWell MadeBurn consistentStays togetherDoes not plug the pot feederCons:My wife likes the taste so much I have to keep cooking....who am I kidding...I love to cook on my smoker.I would recommend these to anyone for a try...you wont be disappointed.
