I traced the inside of the washer of the disassembled Bulkhead Connector onto the plastic barrel with a marker and carefully cut the hole with a saber saw. I used a wood rasp to open up the hole a little bit because my saw cut wasn't perfect. Once the hole was in the barrel (near the top since it was for overflow), the rest was a snap. Putting the Bulkhead Connector in place only took a minute or two once the hole size was proper. This is the second Bulkhead Connector that I have used for Rain Barrels. This one worked great, and the price was right so I would recommend this supplier to anyone. Review: Excellent quality and durable - Installed 2 of these products on my 55 gallon rain barrels, have not used them yet. Just ordered another 3 today plus 2 of the 3/4". Excellent quality and durable. I just found out that one of my old rain barrels that I bought pre installed a few years ago has these same brand bulk head fittings by Banjo and are still working well and no leaks.
