I'm big on drawing, and typically traditional wooden pencils are my go-to. Mechanical pencils are nice for longevity, but their thin, straight lead isn't really intuitive for the intricacies of shading, line weight, etc. This is exactly what I needed. It's got all the pros of a wooden pencil, while also being durable, reusable, and STYLISH! The pencil itself has a very nice weight and feel to it, and makes a super satisfying scratching noise while writing, if you're into that stuff.

I love this concept. Unfortunately, the pencil slipped from my hand one of the first times I used it and the nib cracked in half. Without a smooth tip, it writes pretty poorly. Replacement nibs aren't cheap.Great when it works, but it's pretty fragile. Handle with more care than a standard pen/pencil.
