The material is soft and thick, and the waistband is excellent. Even folded over, it didn't budge the entire afternoon that my daughter wore these.I bought the 0-3 month size for my 9 pound 2 month old, and they are quite big. The waist went almost up to her armpits, so I needed to fold that down, and there is a lot of bunching around her feet even though I pulled the legs up as much as I could. On the bright side, these will probably last her until the end of winter with as much room as she has to grow.These did not come with washing instructions in the package, so I hand washed them in the sink with lukewarm water and a laundry detergent for delicates. I was very impressed that the colors barely ran. The only hint of running was when I rolled them up in a white bath towel.
