Review: Very basic for beginning cooks - I was very disappointed in this big beautiful expensive book. I found it is full of very basic recipes that anyone interested in cooking probably has in multiple books. There was no material or menus for entertaining, combinations of recipes for different events, or enhanced material. I am not sure who this collection is aimed at. I am a big fan of almost all things Williams-Sonoma. But to me, this one misses the mark. Maybe I expected a little more inventive or imaginative than "At Home Cooking"--which I confess might my perspective and expectations from true "At Home Cooking" really suggests.

I was very disappointed in this big beautiful expensive book. I found it is full of very basic recipes that anyone interested in cooking probably has in multiple books.
