In 1953, Christian Flensted carved three storks out of wood as a gift to his daughter. It is said that this mobile has magical powers, so if someone wants to have a child, you might want to think about hanging this lucky stork over the bed. Review: Beautiful, simple, lightweight - Couldn't be happier with this butterfly mobile. We have it hanging from our ceiling light. It was delicate to put together but easy enough and comes half done in a small box. Very well made, perfectly balanced. I chose the butterflies because it seemed like it could be enjoyed from the view below as well as from the side and it did not disappoint! The sunlight catches on the wings and livens up the colours. The butterflies can be put together single colour or mixed and it comes with spare parts. I only wish there were more colour options. I will be buying another one of these at some point in a different design because the quality is outstanding and the simple, elegant designs are timeless, 100% worth it. The design of the butterflies means that the babies can see them when lying underneath - a good distraction for baby when changing nappies! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ was expecting a more vibrant color, but it is paper *by L***R on 2 August 2016* You click the butterfly pieces into place (so there's some assembly required) and you can make several color combinations and change them (5 places, 7 different color sets). I was expecting a more vibrant color, like a good quality plastic/acrylic but it is paper, so the colors are much lighter than the picture shows. Also, the butterflies are bigger than I expected! Love the movement though.
