The manufacturer said I needed to contact Amazon since it was purchased via Amazon. I contacted Amazon and was told the 30 day return window was closed. I purchased the bath lift in September 2023 for my 92 year old, disabled mother. 55 days ago! THE BATH LIFT IS DEFECTIVE! The scissor lift mechanism on one side does not function properly. This morning one side started going down at a different rate than the other. Then a piece of the seat surface on the defective side broke! Thankfully my mother was not injured. Amazon suggested I re-contact the manufacturer since the product is within the 5 year warranty. As of date,I have not heard back from them. ***NOTE: I HEARD BACK FROM THE MANUFACTURER! THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING! THE MANUFACTURER TOLD ME TO RE-CONTACT AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GET AN AUTHORIZATION CODE FOR A REFUND.
