But punch hardness ????I’ve only punched one half dollar five dimes and about fourteen quarters. All coins were annealed. I used Pepe lube on both punch and die for all cuts. All punches were done on a six ton hydraulic press. Punch became jammed in the die. After pushing out punch I could see the damage to both punch and die. I do not know what caused it to malfunction. The punch gouged the die and the punch itself had a small flat spot with a plowed groove and an eighth inch burr at the end of groove. I had just ordered a five eights punch and die to expand options. I filed the burr off the punch, with ease, making me question its hardness. It still punched but leaves a one sixteenth inch high burr on one fourth of the holes circumference 😖 difficult to clean off.Contacted seller, defective punch and die were quickly replaced. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ easy to follow *by L***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2018* A little confusing if you don't bother to read the instructions, but maybe that was just me being typical man? The instructions are less than a page, easy to follow, easy to remember. The punch makes the process a lot easier than drilling manually.One thing I would add- the instructions specify using a press; I tried a few times with a hammer. If you use a hammer, you'll have to use a thick (single) layer of paper towel under and above the coin, to prevent marring when you strike the coin.
