Not soaking wet - slightly damp on ends/mid length. Then roll and clip together. I split hair into 3 sections and manage to link the rollers together on top of my head so I can sleep comfortably. Perfect! Review: Useless! - Absolutely useless. Material is too shiny so no grip in hair and they slide out. Poppers are really hard to connect and then rip the fabric if you are lucky enough to get them tight enough to stay in your hair. there is no bend in them so they ping open.
