I was very unimpressed with the packaging, it looked like something you buy at the grocery store. I figured I'd give them a try. I'm really glad I bought them. I have to get rid of my knife block and the knives in it are not very good. The brand is very good, but the quality of the knives was not impressive. I'll be checking out other sizes and styles of the Mercer brand. A word of caution, you could cut yourself very easily if you're not experienced in the kitchen. It's THAT sharp.
