In the description, it talks about how the input needs to be constant, and over 10V. I hooked this up to my solar battery (200w 12v solar panel -> This boost converter to 28v output -> solar battery). it became cloudy, the panels were not outputting their normal voltage, and the boost converter suddenly spiked the voltage to 115V !!!! Totally destroyed my new solar battery. Please be careful! When it was cloudy, I measured the input as 6.23V... and the output from this boost converter was 114.9V. Electronic smoke is the worst smell... **Q: How can i use this to power a cob led? to i adjust the voltage output only or voltage and current?** A: This is a DC voltage only power supply. I only know of 'cob' LEDs as 120V Ac (screw into a light socket). If you are to power LED's with any power supply you must remember that LED's require a current limited power supply. You must set the current to the proper level and the voltage to the required voltage. With 12V in the lowest output for this power supply is 12V DC.and the highest output voltage is 80V DC.
