The toe box is roomy, and the size seems spot-on. I normally wear an 8-8.5, and the 8.5 fits perfectly with thick socks.Unfortunately, I found the very thick and firm foam padding around the back of the upper to be uncomfortable, so I took it out. I like to lace up my boots snugly, and the foam put too much pressure on my ankles.They do not provide much arch support, so I added an insole. Finally, I do find them a bit of a challenge to put on because the laces stop right at the top of my arch.
