Leukomed® T plus by Leukoplast® – waterproof film dressing Leukomed T plus is a wafer-thin, waterproof film dressing with an absorbent dressing pad for professional care of exuding wounds. The user benefits from the patch's waterproof properties and reduced risk of contamination. It is still breathable and therefore very comfortable to wear. The highly flexible film offers a very high level of comfort and also fits on joints and extremities like a second skin. The water-vapor-permeability of the film prevents moisture accumulation and reduces the risk of maceration. Thanks to its intuitive application system with a red stripe, it can be attached quickly and easily. The rounded corners prevent upward curling. By wearing Leukomed® T plus, patients can quickly resume their usual everyday activities such as showering or hydrotherapy. Leukomed T plus consists of an extra-thin polyurethane film, fully coated with a polyacrylate adhesive. The wound dressing consists of a viscose fleece coated with polypropylene. Review: Good quality dressing - I had a nasty burn from the oven on the back of my left hand and needed a waterproof, properly sealed dressing to protect it while it healed. These dressings are ideal. They are easy to put on and stay put during the day. You peel off the back, put it in place and press down then peel off the plastic at the front to reveal a thin clear sticky edge which you can then press down more firmly in place. They are waterproof to a point (washing your hands/showering) but not sure how long they would stay in place if they were underwater for a long period of time. I change mine everyday but I imagine they would stay put for a few days if necessary. Recommended.

I had a nasty burn from the oven on the back of my left hand and needed a waterproof, properly sealed dressing to protect it while it healed. These dressings are ideal. They are easy to put on and stay put during the day. You peel off the back, put it in place and press down then peel off the plastic at the front to reveal a thin clear sticky edge which you can then press down more firmly in place. They are waterproof to a point (washing your hands/showering) but not sure how long they would stay in place if they were underwater for a long period of time. I change mine everyday but I imagine they would stay put for a few days if necessary. Recommended.

I had stitches 1 week before heading off on holiday to France. This was not planned. My wounds were approximately 1 inch across on both sides of my body and with the 40 degrees plus, water was required. These plasters were fantastic. They are small yet mighty. They withstood normal swimming in a pool and gentle swimming in the sea. They also survived an aqua park, although I did double up. On return to the UK, NOW 2 weeks post surgery, they also protected me with early morning swims. My surgery was relatively slight with skin removal and subsequent stitches. The £2.70 per plaster from local pharmacy which was also waterproof turned out to be anything but. A small yet mighty waterproof plaster.
