Fantastic value. Hitachi has always been my 1st choice for enterprise HDDs. Most of mine are 10 years old. Some are 20. I purchased 8 of these "helium" 10TB units. These particular drives all clock in at 5 years POH/Heads Loaded. Absolutely no sings of instability. All have ZERO realloc events. Generate about 1/2 the heat of my older 4TB HGST drives and are quieter. Almost all my other drives have some sort of detectable vibration. These have none. Hard to tell if they're spinning or not by touch. I intend to put 6 into service and keep two spares. In 15 years I have yet to use any of my HGST spares. Review: Decent used drives, seller honors warranty - Bought 8 of these to upgrade a zfs pool, all are between 20-50k hours of runtime so I'm guessing off-lease equipment pulls. One drive died after a couple days, seller was responsive and sent a return label/replaced drive as promised. So far so good a few weeks later. Decent value if the warranty is actually honored for the full 5 years and you can handle some failures. ## Features - Power disable feature, adapter cable included for legacy systems - Performance -Enterprise-grade internal HDD with 10 TB of capacity, 7200 RPM spindle speed - Quality Packaging -Packed and shipped in pressure rated box to ensure no damage when shipping - Helium Technology -HelioSeal for lower vibration and longer lifespan compared to air-filled drives - Works for Desktop PC, Workstation, Server, NAS and Surveillance System ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BWKNZGL5 | | Additional Features | Portable | | Best Sellers Rank | #12,106 in Amazon Renewed ( See Top 100 in Amazon Renewed ) #785 in Internal Hard Drives #4,047 in Renewed Computers & Accessories | | Brand | Hitachi | | Built-In Media | HGST 10TB Hard Drive, Warranty Card (5 Year) | | Cache Memory Installed Size | 128 MB | | Color | Silver | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Connectivity Technology | SATA | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 126 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 160 megabits_per_second | | Digital Storage Capacity | 10000 GB | | Form Factor | 3.5-inch | | Hard Disk Description | Mechanical Hard Disk | | Hard Disk Form Factor | 3.5 inches | | Hard Disk Interface | Serial ATA-600 | | Hard Disk Rotational Speed | 7200 rpm | | Hard-Drive Size | 10 TB | | Hardware Connectivity | SATA 6.0 Gb/s | | Installation Type | Internal Hard Drive | | Manufacturer | Hitachi | | Media Speed | 150-200 MB/s | | Model Name | Hitachi WD HGST He10 | | Model Number | 0F27468 HUH721010ALE601 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Special Feature | Portable | | Specific Uses For Product | Heavy-duty and continuous use environments | | UPC | 746297540248 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 5 years | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hitachi - **Color:** Silver - **Compatible Devices:** Desktop - **Connectivity Technology:** SATA - **Digital Storage Capacity:** 10000 GB - **Hard Disk Description:** Mechanical Hard Disk - **Hard Disk Form Factor:** 3.5 Inches - **Hard Disk Interface:** Serial ATA-600 - **Installation Type:** Internal Hard Drive - **Special Feature:** Portable ## Images ![WD HGST He10 (HUH721010ALE601) 10TB 7200RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5inch Enterprise Hard Drive - 5 Year Warranty (Renewed) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61aoYzZYdKL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From one reviewer: "These are pure gems!" *by Z***B on September 16, 2024* I AGREE! Supposedly came with a "5 Year Limited Warranty". Every support phone number leads to a full mailbox not taking messages or a phone that rings forever without ever being picked up. All support web addresses lead to a "404 Error: Page Does Not Exist". This is straight out robbery either on the part of Hitachi or the middleman retailer here. Piece of junk HD that lasted 62 days - and there's NO WARRANTY! I'm taking the 100% complete loss here. These guys are selling pure junk that should go into the garbage, not be sold. I've been robbed... and you will be too if you fall for this BS here!! Don't patronize Hitachi or this reseller - there's no support or recourse for these broken HDs - you're on your own with the COMPLETE LOSS!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Hitachi WD HGST He10 (HUH721010ALE601) 10TB 7200RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5inch Enterprise Hard Drive - 5 Year Warranty (Renewed) - MDD - He10 HUH721010ALE601 10TB 7200RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5inch Enterprise Hard Drive - 5 Year Warranty (Renewed) - GODO USB 3.0 to 3.5 Inch Hard Drive Enclosure, Vertical External Hard Drive Docking with Stand for 3.5 inch SATA HDD SSD, Aluminum Alloy Drive Case Support Up to 18TB with UASP,Power Adapter --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/515724911-wd-hgst-he10-huh721010ale601-10tb-7200rpm-128mb-cache-sata-6](https://www.desertcart.us/products/515724911-wd-hgst-he10-huh721010ale601-10tb-7200rpm-128mb-cache-sata-6) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
