I think im going to order the orange after reading and hearing about the dangers of the red and the radiation concerns. Apparently the nonradioactive material still has concerns namely with the dust from the sharpening process.

**Q: Are these good for car repairs to replace body panels ?**
A: To answer you question: Yes, many of your car restoration people will tell you that tig welding on body panels is much better than mig welding one. Due to the fact you will use less heat and filler on the panel so you will have less distortion on the panel you are working on. Ceriated tungsten are preferred, with thoriated tungsten as a second option. The diameters down to . 020, . 040 and 1/16-inch tungsten are popular, (ARCCAPTIAN welding). A: These are an all around great tungsten and weld aluminum very well.

**Q: I’m new to welding tig , don’t know what to order ! I'm going to weld aluminum what the best one to purchase?**
A: The most common rule of thumb is 1 AMP per 0.001 of material thickness to get you in the ballpark of what should work. 1/8" is 0.125 thickness so 125 AMPs. <125 AMPs and using a 3/32 2% lanthanated tungsten works very well on most inverter-type TIG welders. You can weld almost anything with 3/32" though for at least a while. Welding on steel is DC though and much more forgiving and easier on the tungsten.
