They lasted a long time. The replacement pads I bought have a different adhesive on them but the package states "Official TENS 7000 OTC Electrodes." So yes, they are "official" but not the same as what came with original unit **Q: How many sessions do these usually last?** A: I've been able to get five sessions. Around the fourth session, they'll lose their adhesiveness. **Q: do you need pads when using on feet?** A: You need the pads to use the tens **Q: What Battery is used for Tens 7000?** A: 9 volt battery. The square type. Usually around $6 at any store. Even on flat surfaces, I found that the corners would lift up after 1 use. This product does very well and I am currently on my third use of the same electrodes. I clean the area's with rubbing alcohol everytime to rid grease. I think this has helped with longevity of the electrodes. You'll find spending the extra few dollars is worth it just for the longevity/reuse aspect of this product.
