I opted for the matte finish on the outside as it was a bit more blurred than the shiny finish. In the glass photo, you will see where I tested out the different finishes during assemble to ensure I picked what best suited my home. Both are blurred; however, the matte side is a bit more. Although assemble was possible by one person, install was a bit more difficult as the door is very durable and bulky, perfect for use, but a workout when you are installing it solo. A cap color in a light brown (oak) color would elevate the look much more. Although the caps are isolated to the outside edge (not in line of sight unless you are intentionally looking at the side face). Secondly, I would prefer if the inside face door handle was a handle as well, not the finger tip ledge.
