**Q: Would a USB-C to USB-3 adapter work?  I'm going from Hi8 to USB3.  Using Linux and ffmpeg**
A: Yes. A USB-C to full size USB adapter is included.

**Q: I need to insert old VHS tapes
Does the device convert in a very high quality way?**
A: The device and software worked very well at converting my vhs tapes (playing through a vcr) into digital format but didn't turn them into high quality videos.  I used it to convert vhs and Hi 8, you can tell the video improvement from each level but it doesn't compare with even my videos from the digital tape let alone any of the newer formats. The quality is the same as playing a vhs tape through the vcr to a tv. Many of my tapes were very, very old so I'm happy with the results but don't expect miracles.

**Q: Manual said no preview during recording or streaming.  Is it true you cannot view what is being streamed?**
A: The manual says no preview of the AUDIO. You can still preview the VIDEO that is coming from the device.

**Q: How does it send video over usb? does it use the uvc standard, or something else?**
A: Yes, it is a UVC device. It works with OBS, QuickTime, Zoom, Skype, etc.
