It came with paper instructions in the box. **Q: How many dogs can be built at once?** A: There are 3 instruction booklets in the set. Two are for 2 dogs each and the third is for 3 dogs. I purchased two sets so that I could make more dogs at once. **Q: Are you able to mix dogs from the sets? Like build the husky and instead of the dog it comes with build the pug or beagle instead?** A: You can intermix any of the dogs in LEGO #31137. I have the Doxie and the Shepard built right now, but can take apart one of them and build a dog from a different instruction booklet. Watch your colors or who cares what colors your dogs are. I would say that you cannot build a Shepard and Poodle at the same time because they both require the same white pieces.
