**Q: Do you need to use the insert to keep food hot?**
A: I don't think so. The insert is just another small compartment for food

**Q: Is there any plastic that touches the food?**
A: Yes. The small container has a lid. The seller says that it is silicon rubber. I do not believe that it is a food level silicon rubber because it send out strong odor. 
You can remove that lid, but your food may not keep warm longer enough or may leak through the vent in the cover.

**Q: What material is the interlayer made of?**
A: I don’t know, but do not waste your money. It does not keep your food warm for 6 hrs. I tried 5 hrs and still not warm. Very disappointed

**Q: Do they give extra ring?**
A: no. what you see is what you get.

It brings the little foldable spork that bends in half to put it on your top lid it’s very durable. I love that is dishwasher safe. The quality is amazing.
