## Description

desertcart.com : REP Foldable Incline Decline Bench, Matte Black : Sports & Outdoors

Review: High Quality - Extremly Solid - Very happy with this purchase. I'm 60 and getting back into strength training after a back injury a few years ago. I needed a solid, comfortable and stable bench. This fits the requirement perfectly. I put it together in about 30 minutes. It came with all of the required hardware and the instructions were clear. I really like the seat and back pads, they are comfortable but not to spongey that I move too much when doing dumbbell presses, fly's and should presses. Like I said, it's heavy so when I received it, the box was a little beat up. I saw on the camera that the driver basically rolled it off his truck and dropped it by my garage instead of using a dolly to move it. One flange had been bent about half an inch. But I have a bench vise and was able to straighten it back out without much trouble. I fault the deliver driver and not the company as it was packaged very well with a lot of protection, but it would take a huge box and a ton of foam to protect it from "being rolled and dropped" off a truck. I highly recommend this product.
Review: Great Bench at a Great Price - I spent a LOT of time researching benches (really, way too much time), but bottom line was that I wanted something stable, adjustable, and of course I didn't want to break the bank. There are a lot of really questionably pricey benches out there -- and when it comes down to it a bench is a very simple piece of equipment. Why are they so expensive? After all of my time investment I am confident in saying that absolutely no other bench on the market combines the features of this bench and its low price. Specifics: Delivery -- Typical, left outside of my house. Packaging -- Decent. The inner boxes were a bit torn up as Rep didn't put enough padding in place. But none of the parts were damaged. Instructions -- Complete joke. The "assembly" instructions are a single page parts diagram and then a second page of "tips." Come on, at least provide a step-by-step guide? Please visit any IKEA store to learn how it's done. Assembly -- The instructions are not completely useless; everything can be figured out from the diagram. There is some mention of videos to be watched, but I couldn't be bothered. Overall it wasn't bad but it definitely took longer than the stated 15 minutes -- probably closer to 45. The biggest issue for me was getting the seat bolted into place. The "tips" sheet shows it being done with the cushion up, which would require some extreme form of dexterity that I don't possess. After a while I realized that I could un-bolt the seat from the base of the unit (this requires removing a bolt that comes already in place from the factory) and then just flip the whole thing back -- after that the rest of the assembly was very simple. Note that the bolts are a bit on the large side. Neither of my two ratchet sets had anything quite big enough (mine go up to 9/16"), so I had to use a combination of an adjustable wrench and the provided sheet metal "multitool." This undoubtedly slowed me way down. Overall assembly includes screwing in maybe 8 bolts for the seat and back, two for the ankle pads, and then another four or so for the rest of the unit. Then you go through and tighten everything down, including the bolts that were put on at the factory. Utilization -- Once assembled, the unit feels extremely sturdy. It sits perfectly on the floor without rocking, and gives me full confidence. The pads are plenty comfortable in my opinion; sure they're a bit stiff, but it's not like I'm going to take a nap on the thing. Also I suspect that these pads will hold up better over time than softer ones would. Adjustment is simple for both the seat and the back and there are plenty of options for what I need to get done on a daily basis. One important note is that when flat or in decline there is definitely a considerable gap between the seat and back. I know this bothers a lot of people. I don't mind it and don't find it uncomfortable, but I do notice it; if you're looking for something gap-free, look elsewhere. Not much else to say. I think despite the few flaws, for the price this bench is absolutely unbeatable and will serve me for many years. I'm very happy with my purchase...and I can use the money saved to buy more weights to test that 1,000 pound capacity limit!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much weight is that on the bench in the picture, and what is it made of, 11 gauge or above?**
A: It's over 1,000 lbs. The thickness of the steel is variable, from 7 gauge to 14 gauge depending on the part.

**Q: How long does it normally take Rep Fitness to ship a bench after it's been ordered?**
A: REP Fitness will ship this UPS Ground (heavy item), so it will depend upon the delivery location. From date or order my bench took 7 business days to deliver in FL.

**Q: im 5'4, if i lay on my back will i be able to have my feet flat on the floor or will they be dangeling?**
A: You should have no problem laying your feet flat on the floor! The bench sits at about 17.5" high in the flat position, and we have employees as short as 5'3" that use the bench with no problems. Hope this helps! - Team Rep Fitness

**Q: From looking at the pictures above, how does the bench not tip over? Legs look to contact the floor at only 2 points instead of the usual 3 or 4.**
A: This bench is solid. It's hits 3 points 2 at the shoulder and one on the bottom. I researched adjustable benchs for a few weeks setting up my home gym and for the capabilities and weight capacity it's he best out there. It was also easy to assemble. I lift 6 days a week and press over 300 you will be more then satisfied.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Last Bench I’ll Own!
*by B***S on July 14, 2026*

I bought this during Prime days and then realized after ordering it that it weighs almost 90 lbs, which concerned me since it is approximately twice the weight of my old bench. It was too late to cancel the order. I then pondered whether to return it unopened or keep it. After doing quite a bit of research on benches and also borrowing a lighter weight one from a friend I have concluded that there is typically a big jump in dead weight across most brands between lighter duty benches and heavier duty bench brands ( there are not many in the 60-80 lb range). I also lifted the end of the box to get an idea how this might feel lifting it onto its rollers to maneuver in our home gym. Today I took the plunge and assembled it ( very straightforward btw) and I’m pleasantly surprised that it really isn’t as heavy as I thought. This thing is very well designed with large rollers for moving, close tolerances, ball bearings in the decline ankle roller swing arm, very firm but comfortable pads, and great decline fit ( which was a major need in this versus my old bench). Beautiful minimalistic style without a bunch of nonsense printed on the pad covers and no separate ankle roller attachment taking up space in our gym. Extremely solid and stable, commercial quality. If you appreciate quality, buy this as your “forever “ bench. I’m glad I did!
