Comfortable on my eyes for a long period of time, and I simply stared at leaves, noting some of them had black marks I never noticed before; Also, some leaves had variant or gradient colors, which I did not notice on the Vortex (INITIALLY). (This is because I don’t wear my glasses when I take photos due to the optical view finder.) For photography, I have a set of rather expensive super telephoto lenses. And I admit this review is being written in the early days of owning these binoculars, but I am absolutely blown away by these. The separation in terms of depth of field is nothing short of magnificent. I realize there is no shortage of people who are unhappy with Zeiss for making binoculars in China. Do not listen to them. I have already sunk a good bit of money on my camera lenses, so I was not looking to spend $1,000 or more on binoculars. For me, the price point is perfect, and the quality is stellar. I just spent three hours at the local wildlife refuge, and I feel like a kid again. For someone in his mid 60s, that’s pure joy. I’m sure there are several other comparable options in the world of sub-$500 binoculars, so I can only comment on these.
