Review: Love these, really comfy from new! - Having always had Merrell walking shoes in the past, I started struggling with pain in my big toe joint/small bunion. I was trying to find something with a wide-ish toe box that also suited my flat, skinny feet & ankles. These fit the bill! Nice and solid, structured enough to handle uneven and rocky terrain but not so stiff it hurts. They aren't waterproof which is a shame but I knew that when I bought them so it's not a negative. The arch support is low which really suits me. I've walked a good number of miles in them now over a few months, they've been to the lake district, dartmoor, and most recently to the coast of Italy where the terrain was very steep, dry & rocky. On a few occasions my foot slipped on sharp gravelly rocks and I thought for sure i'd have ripped them or put a hole in them but they still look as new. I'd definitely recommend them for summer/dry hiking! Will be trying out some more Columbia shoes/boots soon i'm sure!
