A: Yes, it is 1/2 ", and the other end is a T-30 for the screws on the saw.

**Q: What size is the star bit?**
A: I believe it’s a T-30 torx

**Q: Head on the bolt that holds the blade on is rounded off any suggestion on how to remove it**
A: Couple suggestions. 
1.  Vise grip
2.  Cut a slot on top of bolt with oscillating tool then try with a screw driver. If you have an impact drill, try using this.
