The inverter is a 3000 watt inverter. I am not an electrical engineer, but there is a big difference between 3000w and 650 watts. Second, all of a sudden, 6 months after purchasing it, the unit would only beep for 5 seconds, then turn off. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I stopped trying to make it work about 4 times with no difference it result. Since it is past the 30 day return policy I can't do anything with it except making a planter from it. It turns out you get what you pay for. I felt $300 was a lot for a pure sinewave 3000 watt inverter, but there are lots out there that cost more, are not made in the Far East and have reviews from boat owners and folks who use them regularly, depend on them for long length of time and seem reliable. I DO NOT recommend you buy this inverter.
