(I swear she is washing her paw! :) ) I bought this tray to go underneath the new water fountain we purchased in hopes it would cure her splashing. To our amazement, it has! This tray sits under the water fountain and easily catches any splashes that we make while filling up the water fountain or while the cats are drinking. Our cat has not splashed in the fountain, but there is enough of an edge to catch it if she was to suddenly resume her habit. The tray is SOLID! I feared that it might be a bit flimsy, but this thing is perfectly solid. It is heavy duty, but lightweight enough that I can hold it in one hand, keeping all the water inside the lip as I carry it to the sink to dump out. It does not wobble at all while being carried.
