They block out all the sound and l can listen to my music. I use them daily. Only down fall is they only last 4 to 6 months of daily use. I usually go through 2 to 3 pairs a year. I wish they were more durable and would last a year but they are reasonable priced. My hearing is worth it. The clarity is good and they have a good fit. There soft and don't hurt my ears, I don't even notice there in.
