The brand was Tommy Johns but they have stopped making the longer version of this style. Plus they were very expensive. I tried another popular brand that is sold here on amazon and the fit was horrible with the waistband moving too low on my butt when I bent over. I don't want to constantly be pulling up the rear of my underwear. After searching some more I discovered this brand. These are well made, have nice stretch and most importantly they stay in place when you bend over. They also do not roll up on the leg nor does the waist band roll. These are reasonably priced compared to Tommy Johns. I have washed and put them in my dryer. I do think they might have shrunk a little. They still fit perfectly though. I have never had a waist band like these and was worried it would be uncomfortable. It is not an issue and I find it comfortable. I do dislike the name all over the waistband but that's probably because I am older. For reference on my size - I am 5ft 5in and 155 - ordered a large. I actually started wearing these because I needed shorts for under dresses and skirts to prevent chafing and it was too hot to do underwear and spandex.
