It measures 0.11”. So that just under one eighth of a inch. Hope this helps. One tip if you use it. Make sure it’s very stretched when you assemble all the poles with it. I kept tying a not and cutting it off only to find it did not pull the poles into the ferrules properly. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as expected *by T***A on 22 September 2024* Used to replace carbon pole shock cord. In this case I had to dig out the knot of the old cord from the end of the pole as the ends are not removable. Tips: 1. Number the poles first in case they get separated. 2. Tie or sew strong thread to the old cord. 3. Make the thread at least as long as a pole. 4. Melt the ends of the cut cord to prevent fraying. 5 tie or sew the other end of the thread to the new cord. 6. Gently feed through. The new cord was slightly larger diameter but pulled through. Don't pull too hard. If the thread breaks use the wire to feed the thread back through by pushing the wire through, tying the thread to the end and pulling it back through. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use *by K***R on 17 August 2024* I couldn't get over how easy this was to use. The elastic has snapped in my tent poles. I straightened out the wee bit wire attached enough elastic with a tiny bit sellotape and threaded it through the poles. It took about 4 minutes to do. Really helpful youtube video by Blacks the tent manufacturers showed me how. Done it same way. It was no problem. I'll get a few years yet from my 30 year old tent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I did it on my patio and one part of hte pole dropped down and the metal ferral cut through the cord like a sharp knife *by K***Y on 9 September 2016* Found this worked well. Unlike some I found the threading wire worked OK. This 3mm cord wasn't quite as thick as the original 3mm cord, but it is on and working. One bit of advice. Be careful where you carry out this job. I did it on my patio and one part of hte pole dropped down and the metal ferral cut through the cord like a sharp knife.
